Pioneers

My parents came to visit for a week and while they were here we took a road trip to Nauvoo. It was my first time experiencing the pioneer settlement there and I was in ouh. There are so many beautiful buildings and much history to take in, in just a couple of days but boy was it EVER worth it. I walked to "trail of tears", where it is said to have been the path the pioneers walked when departing Nauvoo in the dead, cold of winter. There's a wonderful feeling and peace that remains down this path that makes it hard to walk off of. I am still struck by the strength these families had, for the courage, faith in Joseph Smith, and love they had for their religion and for the lord. Oh what a magnificent journey they had and took without much hesitation. I look back at some of the trials and tribulations I've had in my life and I think "Man what a baby" Anyway, I won't talk too much just wanted to share this photo of Marley in her best pioneer moment.

Super cute Mandy. I love that picture of Marley. She is either saying to herself "my mom is making me pet this fake sheep and I do'nt like it" or she's saying "what is wrong with this sheep? It's not moving!" hehe. Too cute!

Actually she loved it!! She ran right over to it the moment she saw it, quickly picked the buckets up filled them with pretend food and played with them for a good 45 min.
While taking this photo she was in the middle of telling them that "it's okay she's going to take care of them".
Super funny. Daddy's going to have to make her one.
